Us and our products
Cook Spanish is a small family-run business based in North London.
Please see the 'About us' page for more details.
Yes! All our products are made in Spain. We source all our products ourselves from the ceramicas in the Andalusian region of Spain in the South, and from Catalonia in the North-East. Have a look at our gallery to see our products being made!
All our products are made from eco-friendly 100% natural Spanish terracotta. They comply with EU regulations for the manufacture of goods relating to food and are made of lead-free materials.
Differences in techniques used to fire, paint and glaze different styles of pottery lead to different characteristics, such as heat tolerance. Please see the descriptions of each individual item in our online shop for details.
Our products are hand-painted with a wide range of designs. This means that although the process and colours used are the same, there are slight variations in the end product making every item unique. We think this adds to their charm and makes them special.
Yes. All our products are safe to put in the dishwasher or microwave.
Our cookware is safe to use over direct heat (using either gas or electric hobs, including ceramic hobs and agas) and can tolerate high oven temperatures. However, our tableware is only suitable for gentle heating and serving food but are not designed to be exposed to cooking temperatures.
Please check the description of each individual item in our online shop for details.
Unfortunately, terracotta is unsuitable for use with induction hobs.
